Privacy Policy

Effective August 3, 2026 · Notice version 2026-08-03

This policy explains what information Shotmux collects through this website and beta program, why it is used, and the choices available to you wherever you live.

Who is responsible

Shotmux is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Questions, requests, or complaints can be sent to dmitry@shotmux.com.

Information we collect

  • Beta request details: your first name, optional last name, and email address.
  • Your choices: whether you opted in to occasional product updates and the version of this notice shown with your request.
  • Beta administration records: request, verification, waitlist, email-delivery, and TestFlight invitation status.
  • Security and technical information needed to protect the form and service, including anti-abuse results and request information processed by Cloudflare.

The beta form does not upload your videos or Shotmux editing projects. Those remain on your device unless a separate feature clearly tells you otherwise.

How we use information

  • Validate, process, and manage your beta request.
  • Send service messages such as email confirmation, waitlist, and TestFlight invitation updates.
  • Invite eligible testers and administer beta capacity.
  • Prevent abuse, secure the service, and diagnose failures.
  • Send occasional product updates only when you select the optional marketing checkbox.

Service providers and disclosures

We share information only when needed for the purposes above, with providers that help operate the beta:

  • Cloudflare provides website infrastructure, data storage, security, and Turnstile anti-abuse checks.
  • Resend delivers beta and optional product emails.
  • Apple receives tester details needed to provide TestFlight access.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business reorganization where appropriate privacy protections continue to apply. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Choices and legal grounds

Information required by the beta form is used to take the steps you request, provide and administer beta access, protect the service, and comply with legal obligations. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, those activities rely on steps requested by you, legitimate interests in operating and securing the beta, or legal obligations. Optional marketing relies on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to administer the beta, maintain security and delivery records, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, subject to any record we must retain to honour your opt-out.

International processing

Shotmux and its providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Privacy laws may differ there. Where required, appropriate contractual or other safeguards are used for international transfers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a privacy regulator. Email dmitry@shotmux.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.

Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the information we handle. No internet service can promise absolute security, so please avoid sending sensitive information that the beta form does not request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Shotmux changes. The effective date and notice version at the top identify the current edition. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
